Soap Making (ages 18+)
The science of soap! Learn how soap becomes “soap” through the process of saponification and how to use on line calculators to custom create any soap that suits your personal preference! Participants will have hands on practice creating and following a recipe, learn important safety tips and will leave class with at least one pound of “raw” soap to take home to cure the approximate 6-8 weeks necessary. This is a fast paced course designed to give the basics of soap making. Please bring an old bath sized towel to insulate soap for the ride home. Lisa Hoyt has been teaching soap making for over 20 years.

How to Restore Old Photos with Photoshop (14+)
This class will cover how to restore color and contrast to old photos, correct color shifts, clone tool and content aware to correct cracks and imperfections and how to increase resolution. This class includes 5 high resolution scans of your photographs. You can call to have them done in time to work in on class or bring them to class to have them scanned after class at my studio. This class will provide sepia toned prints for you to paint with information on how to make you own prints to paint. Use of paint and supplies is included.
