Soap Making (ages 18+)
The science of soap! Learn how soap becomes “soap” through the process of saponification and how to use on line calculators to custom create any soap that suits your personal preference! Participants will have hands on practice creating and following a recipe, learn important safety tips and will leave class with at least one pound of “raw” soap to take home to cure the approximate 6-8 weeks necessary. This is a fast paced course designed to give the basics of soapmaking. Please bring an old bath sized towel to insulate soap for the ride home.
