A Japanese martial art teaching self defense using efficient body movements, not strength, to redirect the force of an attack and diffusing it. Increase awareness, flexibility, and balance. Train your body and mind with movement, breathing, and meditative exercise helping you learn principles that are practical for self defense as well as daily life.

Taekwondo Min Session (ages 5 and up)
Taekwondo classes at Green Ridge are designed to teach martial arts and fitness in a structured but fun environment. We help kids develop a focused mind, a coordinated body, a courteous nature, and a positive attitude. Kids, teens, and adults alike will improve fitness and coordination while learning self-defense skills that help build confidence and focus. Students can sign up individually or have the whole family try together. This class is an introduction to the basics of taekwondo.

Self Defense Workshop (ages 16+)
Raise your everyday awareness or just be college ready for the fall. The workshop is designed to raise awareness of everyday tasks and to protect yourself in situations. Contact will be part of the workshop so make it fun and bring a friend! Participants should wear comfortable clothes, bring water and a notebook to take notes. Michelle Behrns is not only a Tru Self Defense Instructor but also teaches kickboxing, fitness instructor and teaches Shorin Ryu.
