What better way to warm up on a cool winter evening with some warm, comforting Indian food! January will feature a combination of rice, meat and lentils that create a sumptuous meal. Chicken Biryani is a dish prepared with basmati rice and chicken. Daal Makhani lentils cooked in a creamy sauce and the delicious dessert Gulab Jamun which is fries dough balls soaked in syrup. A bonus for this lesson is learning how to make the cooling sauce, Raita. February will be delicious creamy dishes-Chicken Makhni (Butter Chicken), Gobhi Masala (cauliflower cooked in a thick sauce), and Kheer-the delicious Indian Rice Pudding. March will be a vegetarian feast. Learn how to make Chana Masala (chickpeas in sauce), Palak Paneer (Indian cheese cubes in a spinach curry) and Puri (fried bread). April will feature a festive menu: Chicken Tikka Masala (marinated and grilled chicken cubes cooked in a creamy sauce), Matar Pulao (rice with peas) and Gaja Halwa (carrot dessert).
